Our Team

We are immensely proud of the team we have created. At Swims'cool' we pride ourselves on developing first class teachers via our in house training and mentoring programme.

Paul
Director/Teacher (ASA Level 3)

In 1992, Paul founded Swimscool, which initially operated from rented pools. However, he always held a vision of building his own pool and nurturing an Olympic swimmer. This dream came true when his own daughter emerged as a remarkable talent from Swimscool. Holly is undoubtedly one of the most exceptional age group swimmers in the history of Great Britain, holding numerous British records and earning prestigious medals at the British, European, and Commonwealth levels. Despite the challenging journey, the creation of these pools has earned admiration from countless individuals, and we hope this admiration will continue for generations.

Tegan
Manager/Teacher (ASA Level 2)

For over 11 years, Tegan has been an invaluable member of our team. Her outstanding performance as a swimmer, coupled with her father's deep love for the sport, inspired Tegan to follow his path and pursue a career in coaching. Throughout her time with us, she consistently achieved remarkable results with a diverse range of swimmers, from infants and children in learn-to-swim classes to elite athletes receiving personalized coaching. Tegan's focus on butterfly and freestyle strokes highlights her dedication to continuously improve her coaching abilities. Her unwavering passion for the sport and commitment to empowering others serve as the driving forces behind her coaching endeavors.

Holly
Manager

Holly, an esteemed member of our team, holds an ASA Level 2 qualification and boasts an impressive 14-year background in swimming. Her list of achievements spans various competitions and age groups, including prestigious events like the Commonwealth Games and World Championships. Holly's own journey began at Swimscool when she was just three years old, laying the foundation for her successful career. Today, she is wholeheartedly devoted to inspiring the next generation of Swimscool swimmers, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and reach their individual objectives.

Pippa
Teacher (ASA Level 2)

Pippa has been actively engaged in teaching swimming for the past 22 years, all while pursuing her career as a physiotherapist. Alongside her professional endeavors, she has managed to raise her children. Notably, one of her children has attained the status of an international swimmer. Pippa finds immense gratification in instructing children, guiding them towards acquiring the essential abilities needed to ensure their safety in aquatic environments.

Jo
Teacher (ASA Level 2)

Jo burst onto the scene at Swimscool in 2017, marking her debut with a resounding splash. She has seamlessly integrated herself as an esteemed member of our team. Significantly, Jo has recently achieved a qualification centered on integrating swimmers with physical and/or sensory impairments into mainstream swimming lessons. This underscores Jo's unwavering commitment to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that everyone, regardless of challenges, can access and thrive within the realm of swimming education.

Rebecca
Teacher (ASA Level 2)

Since 2004, Rebecca has been an integral part of the Swimscool family. Her unwavering passion for both the sport and Swimscool has set a remarkable example for the entire club. Over the years, she has played an instrumental role in shaping the journeys of numerous swimmers, nurturing their growth and potential. An exceptional aspect of Rebecca's teaching philosophy revolves around the pivotal concepts of teamwork and friendship.

Lauren
Teacher (ASA Level 2)

Lauren's remarkable journey commenced at the tender age of 16, a testament to her progression through the ranks of Swimscool from her own childhood. Now, with 18 years having elapsed and two children of her own, her enduring passion for the sport remains as her own children embark on their Swimscool adventures, following in her footsteps. She adeptly balances the role of a mentor, pushing her students to achieve their utmost potential while ensuring they remain steadfastly focused on becoming the best versions of themselves.

Gabbie
Teacher (ASA Level 2)

Gabbie, the newest member of Swimscool, has seamlessly immersed herself in her role. Her friendly and caring teaching style has quickly endeared her to the kids, while her own competitive swimming background enhances their progress. Gabbie's presence adds a refreshing energy, embodying the club's values and positively impacting both students and the Swimscool community.

Grace
Teacher (ASA Level 2)

Having become a part of our team 2 years ago, Grace seamlessly integrated herself into Swimscool, a feat facilitated by her pre-established connections with other instructors at the club. These ties were forged through years of competing alongside and against them at different levels, including county-level swimming. This competitive background served as the foundation in which Grace refined her skills and nurtured her passion for the sport, ultimately blossoming into her innate teaching prowess.

Dan
Teacher (ASA Level 2)

Dan has been an integral part of our team for the past 8 years, though he embarked on his teaching journey 2 years ago. His passion is driven by the gratification derived from aiding young individuals in enhancing their aquatic skills, fostering their self-assurance, and nurturing their social interactions. Dan perceives teaching swimming as a valuable complement to his role as a personal trainer, recognizing the holistic benefits it offers to those under his guidance. Through this dual role, Dan not only helps individuals achieve their fitness goals but also equips them with essential life skills that transcend the confines of the water.

Luca
 Teacher

Luca became a part of our team a year ago, having initially embarked on his own swimming journey with Swimscool at the age of 3. His passion lies in imparting the techniques of front crawl to eager learners. What truly resonates with Luca is the chance to bestow upon children a vital life skill through his teaching role, coupled with the embracing spirit of inclusivity that Swimscool embodies. The blend of his personal history with Swimscool and his present role as an instructor showcases Luca's commitment to nurturing the next generation of confident and capable swimmers.

Jess
Assistant Teacher

Jess's Swimscool journey began at 3 years old, evolving over 14 years from student to assistant. Now working alongside her former instructors, she imparts the love for the sport to the community's children, teaching a vital life skill with the same passion that shaped her own aquatic path. Her enduring passion for the sport has paved the way for her to engage with the community's younger members, presenting them with the invaluable opportunity to learn a crucial life skill.
